Established in New York in 2007 by five attorneys admitted to the New York and Paris Bars, the French-American Bar Association (FABA) is a non-profit organization whose aim is to promote and develop relations between French and American law professionals.

FABA was founded on the idea that the Franco-American legal community could not be successful unless it could count on a solid network.Indeed, in light of the numerous needs of attorneys and legal counsels confronted to issues involving several jurisdictions, FABA is a forum where legal information can be circulated. FABA is an exchange platform regarding the legal differences in France and in the United States as well as in the professional life.

FABA has been very active in organizing frequent events for the past five years under Thomas Vandenabeele’s direction and therefore wanted to expand with the creation of a Paris chapter to continue the organization’s goals and allow its members to benefit from a growing network.

In June of 2011, the Paris chapter was thus created in the form of an association “loi 1901?.
